What is the 30 Days of Planks & Thanks Challenge?
Starting from a humble 20-second plank, we’re challenging you to build up to a solid two-minute plank over 30 days. But that’s not all – we’re adding a twist! We’re incorporating a step challenge into the mix, with a goal of 10,000 daily steps. Why 10,000 steps, you ask? Research shows that walking 10,000 steps daily can significantly improve cardiovascular health, boost mood, and increase overall fitness. It’s a simple yet effective way to stay active amidst the holiday indulgences.
How Does It Work?
- Plank Challenge: Each day, plank for the allotted time mentioned on the calendar we provide. Start short and gradually increase your time. Strengthen your core, shoulders, arms, and glutes – all with your body weight!
- Step Challenge: Track your steps using a smartwatch or smartphone. Aim for 10,000 steps daily. No manual entries are allowed – we want you to experience the real benefits of walking!
- Express Gratitude: Share your journey on social media using #Planksgiving and tag @IncreasethePeach. Along with your plank progress, share something you’re thankful for. Let’s spread positivity and gratitude together!
Why Join the Challenge?

How to Participate:
- Register: To join the challenge and be eligible for the prize, a $10 registration fee is required. Your buy-in is essential; it shows your commitment and helps support the community challenge. With your registration, you’ll receive an exclusive e-book, “7 Steps to Create a Fitness Routine You Can Sustain,” packed with valuable tips, healthy recipes, and a link to a simple follow-along workout.

Planksgiving Step Challenge is facilitated by Count.It, a digital platform that tracks steps after syncing a step-tracking device like a FitBit, Apple watch, or mobile phone to your Count.It account. Registration closes on November 4th.

- Register a new account using this LINK
- Sync a step tracking device to your account and get moving!
How to Participate and Ways to Win
Challenge yourself to hit 10,000 steps daily for the duration of the challenge! That’s it’s, quite simple!
- Eligibility: The challenge is open to any and everyone!
- Registration: Participants have until November 4, 2023, 12:01 am EST to register. Late registration is acceptable, however, can not be entered for prize earnings.
- How to Participate: Complete 10,000+ steps every day of the challenge!
- Step Tracking Device: The challenge is regulated by CountIt – a digital platform that tracks steps across users. To participate in the challenge, users must connect a step-tracking device to their CountIt account, such as a smartphone or wearable device (Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, etc). Manual entry of steps will not be permitted.
- Syncing: The Count.It app syncs your steps automatically, however, participants are encouraged to open the app at least once daily to ensure all your steps are shown in real-time.
- Syncing Issues: If you have trouble syncing your steps, please use Count.It how-to guides to troubleshoot or contact the CountIt Support Team directly (Click Here). Please refrain from posting about technical issues in the STEPtember group chat on Count.It
- Other Forms of Physical Activity: This is a step and plank challenge. Unfortunately, other forms of physical activity, such as biking, will not be counted towards the challenge. However, the more you move, the better your chances of reaching your goals!
- Step Cap: To ensure healthy participation in the challenge, the number of steps towards the standings will be capped at 35,000 steps/day. If your daily step total exceeds this amount on any day, it will be adjusted to 35,000.
HOW TO WIN:
